This old and somewhat damaged black and white photograph of The Port of Saigon from the early days of photography, located in Ho Chi Mihn City circa 1866 captures both of the large masted wooden vessels that sailed around Asia during this period, as well as several grand examples of Vietnamese architecture, with several large buildings that dotted the shoreline at the time. The photo depicts a seaside area. There are two large ships in the water, along with some smaller ships in the background. There is a bridge running parallel to the shoreline. There are several buildings along the coast.
